In 2003 Nick was the warranty punch guy on a custom home site. The superintendent quit mid project, so he started calling trades himself, because the house still had to get finished. The owner of the company showed up, saw what he was doing, and made him a superintendent that day.
Nobody ever trained him. He learned it in real time, asking a lot of questions.
Christina spent almost ten years in medicine. Running operations for a custom home builder turned out to be the same job in a different building.
She runs HR, insurance, billing, and financial administration, plus regular field walks to check progress, quality, and coordination. Her role is the bridge between office and field.
Twenty plus years later, Nick and Christina run 12 West together. When you hire 12 West, you get both owners. Not an account manager. Not a rotating project coordinator.
